"And this is God’s plan: Both Gentiles and Jews who believe the Good News share equally in the riches inherited by God’s children. Both are part of the same body, and both enjoy the promise of blessings because they belong to Christ Jesus. 7 By God’s grace and mighty power, I have been given the privilege of serving him by spreading this Good News." (NLT)Faye tells me that it was discussed how we can think that God's grace is only for certain people and not others. It can be difficult to understand that God loves criminals and bullies and others we don't get along with but the truth of it, is that He loves all people exactly the same, no matter what. Just as the Jews believed they deserved God's forgiveness more than the Gentiles so can we fall into the trap of limiting God's love and forgiveness.
A challenge was also issued!! Everyone was asked to invite a friend along next week when Bible Class will be a bit more laid back than usual and, therefore, hopefully easier to bring people along to. So decide who you're going to invite, be sure to pray for them during the week and at some point pluck up the courage!!
See you next week, friends in tow :)
